May-June, 2008 Event : Workshop and Performance
In its endevour of encouraging young talent in theatre, Natana had invited Balaji Manohar - a young director-actor from Bangalore. The members of Natana participated in a workshop conducted my him, which culminated in a play - "Mojina Seeme aache Onduru" . The play was well received by the audience as well as the media. Look out for more shows of the play!

January, 2008 Event : Folk Festival The beginning of new year saw a unique folk festival namely Bahuroopi Janapada was presented at the auditorium of Natana in association with National repertorie Rangayana. Many wonderful folk art forms from Assam, Manipur, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Orissa , Karnataka and many other states were staged.

December, 2007 Event : Performance of "Chora Charanadasa" The most unique political satire Chora Charanadasa was staged at Natana. This play written by Habib Tanveer was directed by Mandya Ramesh specially for the members of Natana. It received great appreciation from the audience and became a great success.

October-November, 2007 Event : "Ranga Navami" The state level theatre festival was held at Natana. This programme was a grand success with participation from many districts with Children, Epical and Historical dramas and Ranga Geethe.

July-August, 2007 Event : Performance of play "Gandhi-Ambedkar" The well known play: Gandhi-Ambedkar was staged under the direction of Sri.C.Basavalingiah who is a graduate of National School of Drama, New Delhi and the former Director of Rangayana, Mysore. This drama was originally written by Premanand Gajvi in Marathi and translated into Kannada by D.S.Chowgule. Vidwan Nanda Kumar is the Music director. This play has been staged in many places like Mysore, Bangalore, Sanehalli, Hiriyur, Trivandrum and Mumbai in the National theatre festivals and is a milestone in Indian theatre.

May-June, 2007 Event : Theatre Training camp During the camp held for youth-both male and female, a musical drama titled Mysore Mallige based on the life and works of the famous author K.S.Narasimha Swamy was staged under the direction of Nagendra Shah. This drama has seen shows in many places in the state.

April 14 to May 6, 2007 Event : "Raja Maja" - Summer camp for children The Raja-Maja held between was full of gaiety. Many celebrities like Vijay Raghavendra, Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, and Dwarakeeshtook part in the children’s camp. The programmes by children like Kamsale, Pooja Kunitha, Veera Gase, Kolata and many other folk art forms and 6 plays like Ajji Kathe, Haikalu etc enthralled the audience.

June 10-11 and 17-18, 2006 Event : Performnce of Natana's latest production - "AGNI .MATTU .MALE"
Natana is back to stun the audience with its new production - Girish karnad's 'AGNI MATTU MALE' . Directed by Mandya Ramesh, this play is performing 4 shows in the coming 2 weeks - 10 and 11 of June, at 6.30pm at the 'Bhoomigeeta' stage at Rangayana, Mysore ; 17 and 18 of June, at 7.05pm, at Natana's new stage - Rangarao colony, near Andholana circle, Mysore. Various dignitaries of theatre, includung Sri Kappanna are expected to attend the shows. All are welcome. With a dedicated cast and crew working for more than 3 weeks, the director Mandya Ramesh seems confident of this play going places, taking people by storm!! |

April 16th, 2006. Event : Inauguration of Raja Maja and Natana Kuteera The new stage built (in a record period of 3 days!!) in Ramakrishna Nagar was inaugurated along with this year's batch of Raja Maja amidst singing and dancing by folk artists. Master Hiranniah, Shashidhar Adapa and Dinesh Manglur were present to do the honours and share the joy with the entire team. With the huge success of the performance of the play Tunta Robin and a new place of its own, Natana is one step closer to its dreams... April 17th '06 Raja Maja was also inaugurated for Natana's counterparts in Pandavapura, Mandya dist. The Camp Director - Mandya Ramesh, along with Co-Director - Arun Murthy conduct this camp in order to encourage and help the hidden talents in villages come to the spotlight.
